Our Aviation Program

Henrico PAL’s Aviation Program opens up the skies — and possibilities — for youth in our community. Designed to spark curiosity and ambition, this unique program introduces young people to the world of aviation through hands-on learning, engaging workshops, and real-world exposure to careers in aerospace and aviation.

Participants explore topics like flight science, aerodynamics, aviation history, and aircraft technology, while developing essential life skills such as teamwork, leadership, and critical thinking. Through partnerships with local aviation professionals and organizations, students also have the opportunity to visit airports, experience flight simulators, and shadow pilots and aviation specialists.

Whether they dream of becoming a pilot, engineer, air traffic controller, or simply want to explore something new, the Aviation Program helps youth gain confidence and broaden their vision of what’s possible. It's more than an introduction to flying — it's a launchpad for future success.
