About Henrico PAL
Mentorship, Growth, Leadership — For Every Child
The Henrico Police Athletic League was established in 2007. PAL offers year-round and seasonal sports programs, after-school education programs, and summer camps. PAL is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) youth-serving organization with the cooperative effort of the community and is committed to providing safe and structured activities to the youth of Henrico.

Our initiative began with a simple mission: to connect law enforcement
and communities through youth-focused programs that promote leadership,
health, education, and accountability.
Youth Leadership Council
Future leaders start here. Youth voice their ideas, plan service projects, and participate in civic activities that teach accountability, teamwork, and leadership.
Aviation Program
Take learning to new heights. Kids explore the basics of aviation, aerodynamics, and flight careers with hands-on activities and mentorship from professionals.
Johnny Newman Basketball Clinic
Develop fundamentals, teamwork, and confidence on the court. Open to all skill levels, our camp and league emphasize growth both as athletes and citizens.
Chess Program
Strategy meets self-discipline. Our chess club strengthens cognitive skills, patience, and sportsmanship — one move at a time.
Childhood Obesity Prevention Program
We promote healthy lifestyles through fun fitness activities, nutrition education, and goal setting to help kids build strong, healthy habits.
Substance Awareness Program
Knowledge is prevention. We equip youth with real facts and life skills to resist peer pressure and make empowered, healthy choices.
Summer Camp

After School Program
Our after-school program provides a safe, structured environment where kids can thrive beyond the classroom. Each afternoon includes homework help, enrichment activities, sports, mentoring, and life skills — all guided by caring staff and positive role models.
